Vlieseline Woven Fusible Interfacing (medium weight) G700

Vilene G700 is a mid-weight, woven, fusible, interfacing.  Woven interfacings can be used for all sewing projects, but are particularly useful for projects where you want to retain the natural drape of the fabric.  This interfacing is best used with mid weight, non-stretchy, cotton - just like we sell here at Prints to Polka Dots.

Once fused the fabric can be washed upto 60 degrees (unless the fabric care instructions are lower).

90cm wide, order in cms or mtrs, the more you order the longer your piece of interfacing will get, or opt for one of our great value pre-cut mini rolls:

  • Save 10% when you order a 5mtr roll.
  • Save 15% when you order a 10mtr roll.
  • Save 25% when you order a 25mtr roll.

Woven Interfacings (G700 and G770)

When preparing to cut your pattern pieces, to retain the drape of the fabric, position your pattern on the interfacing as you did when preparing to cut your fabric (in relation to the selvedge).

Place the interfacing with the coated side facing the wrong side of the fabric (the coated side feels bumpy and has a slight shine to it), glide the steam iron, on cotton setting, slowly over each area 6 times, or cover with a damp cloth and press each area for about 12 seconds, without moving the iron.

Allow the pieces to cool flat for about 30 minutes, so that the adhesive can set properly.

We strongly recommend that you attach a small piece of interfacing to a fabric remnant with your iron first to make sure that the hold and the adhesion meet your expectations.

Stretchy Non-Woven Interfacing (H609)
When preparing to cut your pattern pieces, to retain the drape of the fabric, position your pattern on the interfacing as you did when preparing to cut your fabric (in relation to the selvedge).

Place the interfacing with the coated side facing the wrong side of the fabric (the coated side feels bumpy and has a slight shine to it), lift and press the iron across the interfacing, holding it down for no more than 10 seconds at a time.

Allow the pieces to cool flat for about 30 minutes, so that the adhesive can set properly.

We strongly recommend that you attach a small piece of interfacing to a fabric remnant with your iron first to make sure that the hold and the adhesion meet your expectations.
